High-School Teachers from SESAME Members participate in CERN Teacher Programme

Eight high-school teachers in physics from 4 Members of SESAME (Iran, Israel, Jordan and Palestinian Authority) were among the 54 teachers taking part in the CERN High School Teacher Programme 2014 that has held at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) in Geneva (Switzerland) from 6 - 25 July 2014.
This year’s school had a different flavour to it in that the working group in which the eight teachers were placed developed lessons based on the science at SESAME and its potential applications, as well as the harmonous influence SESAME is already having on relations between its Members. It also looked at CERN’s success as a forum for international dialogue, and drew parallels between CERN and SESAME. (more)
